when did you fall

i havent blogged in ages. must be the longest break ever eh? just that work's been really bad and stuff that ive been dealing with arent all share-able if you know what i mean ;) nevertheless ill try again to start the habit of dropping by once in abit to share thoughts & whatnots... in a weird way i miss the interactivity i get at this place.

today, we will start light by me sharing (yet another) song i like... im falling for (pun!!). its called when did you fall by chris rice. the kind of song you wish the friend you fell for sang to you. really sweet & tune's great too. chris rice reminds me abit of jack johnson & jason mraz & ben folds rolled in one. shd check this out

When Did You Fall

You’re all smiles and silly conversation
As if this sunny day came just for you
You twist your hair, you smile and you turn your eyes away
C’mon, tell me what’s right with you
Now it dawns on me probably everybody’s talkin’
And there’s something here
I’m supposed to realize
Cause your secret’s out, and the universe laughs at it’s joke on me
I just caught it in your eyes, it’s a beautiful surprise

Chorus:
When did you fall in love with me
Was it out of the blue
‘Cause I swear I never knew it
When did you let your heart run free
Have you been waiting long
When did you fall in love with me
When did you fall in love

Make your way over here, sit down by this fool, and let’s rewind
C’mon, let’s go back and replay all our scenes
You can point out the hints, the clues, the twists and the smiles this time
All the ones that slipped by me
I bet my face is red, and you can hear my heart poundin’
Well I guess it don’t matter now that I realize
‘Cause baby I missed it then, but I can surely see you now
Right there before my eyes
You’re my beautiful surprise

Was it at the coffee shop
Or that morning at the bus stop
When you almost slipped, and I caught your hand
Or the time we built the snowman
The day at the beach, sandy and warm
Or the night with the scary thunderstorm
I never saw the signs
Now we’ve got to make up for lost time
And I can tell now by the way that you’re looking at me
I’d better finish this song so my lips will be free

Have you been waiting long, when did you fall in love
I kept you waiting so long, when did you fall
Have you been waiting long
When did you fall in love with me
When did you fall in love?

______________________________

this brings to mind my theory that the best place to find love is with the Friend. the Friend is the person you met & clicked with at an instant, a buddy, someone you counted on through the years but never expected to fall for. the Friend you meet for supper at a moment's notice - the one you dont mind meeting without makeup, with your glasses on & in full madhair glory cos you dont need to impress him. the Friend you cried to when your heart was broken, the Friend who knows your evil, dark side, your vulnerabilities, fears, how badly you can whine sometimes and accepts you despite of it. he/she is the person you subconsciously fell for but didnt know. and when you both realise, its truly a beautiful surprise.

haha i speak like ive found him, this Friend. well actually, i have but he's lost now. God willing, i might find another this lifetime :)

hey roofie! thanks for dropping by & for the sweet comments & encouragement :) you have a blog yourself?

btw, chris rice is available at trumpet praise (plaza sing), he's supposedly a christian singer but this album entitled amusing actually sounds secular to me... hes not exactly like jack johnson, but great listening anyways. i like the lyrics ;) enjoy!
