an article on christianity today abt the rarity of godly men :) interesting perspective esp coming from a single guy! then again, he's never been to arpc which im assured by others, have tonnes. haha the debate continues...

A random tangent thot that came to my mind as I was reading the article (totally off topic).
Do you feel that there's the danger in our circles that 'godliness' has become a badge to be earned rather than a real reflection of our walk with God?
Or maybe it's just a reflection of my personal spiritual walk. :p

carpe diem - i think you mean to ask if our value/esteem by others come from how godly we may be/seem?
its not a qn that can be easily answered cos no one knows the other's heart. rather it shd be sth we guard ourselves agst (valuing others by 'outward godliness'), remembering that our worth (& that of our bros/sis) is in Christ alone, everyone is journeying tog & no one's value is dependent on their growth/maturity.
end of the day its abt being real before God cos He knows all & sees all... our hearts, our thoughts, our motives. we shdnt be out to impress each other but Him alone.
